Kinotavr 2011, 4-11 June

XXII Open Russian Film Festival Kinotavr 2011 is held in Sochi on June 4-11, 2011. Zhemchuzhina hotel complex will traditionally be the chief accommodations of festival participants.
Film nominees are being selected by the Kinotavr organization committee, though it has already been announced that rules for nominating a film have changed this year.
- This time any film in Russian may be submitted to the program, and several companies filming in Russian in CIS countries and far abroad have already applied.
The festival winners in 2010:
- Main Prize went to “Truce” by Svetlana Proskurina,
- Prize for best short – “The Cancrizans” by Nikolai Sokolov.
